On Monday, September 17, 2024, Krirk University organized a performance in celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival to preserve and promote Thai-Chinese cultural heritage. The event featured performances by both Thai and Chinese students, including a featured show titled “Chandra Prakaisiri (Moon’s Blessing)” and a musical performance of “Shanghai Yi Sheng Xiao.”
In addition, the event included various other performances such as singing, dancing, and traditional Chinese music, all of which left a lasting impression on the attendees.
Krirk University, in collaboration with Bang Khen District Office, presented the opening performance of the Pong Lang Nattaya Rajaphruek ensemble at the Loy Krathong Festival at Wat Phra Sri Mahathat Woramahawihan on November 15, 2024.
This performance showcased the traditional art of playing Pong Lang and Nattaya Rajaphruek, which is part of the effort to preserve and promote Thai cultural heritage through beautiful and meaningful performances. It also serves to encourage cultural learning and participation in cultural activities by students and the local community. The performance received great interest and a warm reception from all attendees.
On August 23, 2024, the International College of Arts at Krirk University held a Candlelight Music Performance event, which was organized to provide students with an opportunity to showcase their musical talents. The event also aimed to promote the integration and innovation between traditional and contemporary music. Alumni and graduate students from the Department of Music were invited to participate and share their work, exchanging musical experiences and ideas. The event took place in the beautiful ambiance of candlelight, allowing attendees to experience warmth and a sense of awe throughout the performance.
On November 14, 2024, at the activity area on the 4th floor of Central Ramindra, Krirk University, in collaboration with Central Ramindra Shopping Center, organized the Nang Noppamas Beauty Pageant to celebrate the Loy Krathong Festival. The event provided a stage for Thai and Chinese students to showcase their talents and present Thai culture to the global community.
On April 28, 2024, the Center for Arts and Culture of Krirk University presented a cultural performance at The Tenth Nishan Forum on World Civilizations: “Chinese Confucianism Study” Thailand Forum.
The purpose of the performance was to promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding between China and Thailand, highlighting the richness of traditional Asian arts and their role in fostering harmony among world civilizations.
The performance featured two main acts:
Lion Dance Performance – symbolizing strength, good fortune, and prosperity, reflecting Chinese cultural heritage.
“Nataya-Pheree” Traditional Thai Drum Dance – showcasing the elegance and rhythm of Thai performing arts, representing the vibrancy of Thai cultural identity.
On February 24, 2024, at Hall 2, KORAT HALL, Central Nakhon Ratchasima,
the Center for Arts and Culture, under the Office of Student Affairs at Krirk University, presented a performance titled “Thai-Chinese Nataya-Pheree” at the 22nd Thai Higher Education Arts and Culture Festival, hosted by Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University under the theme “Da Daad: The Art and Science of the Siamese Land.”
The “Thai-Chinese Nataya-Pheree” performance was a fusion of traditional Thai and Chinese dance. It featured long drums and tambourines as key instruments, combining the energetic and vibrant rhythms of Thai folk drumming with the elegant sounds of traditional Chinese musical instruments. This performance symbolized the long-standing friendship and cultural ties between Thailand and China.
