Drinking Water Dispensers
The installation project of automatic drinking water dispensers in the central areas of Krirk University is an initiative aimed at promoting awareness and encouraging faculty, staff, and students to value the use of resources for maximum benefit. The project promotes behavioral change by reducing the use of single-use plastic containers, encouraging the use of reusable cups or water bottles. It also helps create a healthier environment by supporting students and staff to bring their own cups to refill water from the automatic dispensers, thus reducing the amount of plastic bottle waste from bottled water purchases and minimizing user contact, which reduces the risk of infectious diseases. Additionally, it ensures that students and staff have access to quality, hygienic drinking water.
A total of 16 units have been installed in various locations, including academic buildings, administrative offices, the food court, exercise areas, and other central activity spaces, so that students, staff, and the general public can access clean and quality drinking water. This aligns with the Sustainable Development Goal SDG6: Clean Water and Sanitation.
