Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese martial art that is known as “Meditation in Motion”, which means meditation while moving. Today, it is considered a type of exercise that involves breathing, similar to meditation, along with slow and graceful body movements from one position to another without stopping. Each pose is inspired by the pose of an animal, such as the white crane spreading its wings.
Tai Chi is an activity that moves the body in a circular motion with gentle and continuous poses. It does not require much force and has low impact. The muscles are not tense or stiff. The joints and tissues are not stretched too much to the point of being dangerous. Many people believe that practicing Tai Chi regularly can help increase energy, strengthen the body, or prevent other health problems. It is suitable for all ages and genders. Tai Chi is an option for those who want to relieve stress or enjoy exercise that involves slow and gentle body movements.
