The Faculty of Public Health, International College, Krirk University, organized a project on sustainable community development through lifestyle medicine. The project featured a renowned Tai Chi instructor from China as part of its community service initiative, promoting health through Tai Chi. The event was held at the Ram Intra Sports Center.
The activities began with a lecture by Dr. Zhao Ye and Dr. Suparata Kiatwittaya, introducing the origins of Tai Chi and presenting research findings from around the world. The aim was to raise awareness about the importance of lifestyle medicine and the benefits of exercise, emphasizing that Tai Chi can significantly enhance both physical and mental well-being. Long-term practice of Tai Chi is beneficial for health, particularly for elderly individuals with chronic conditions.
Following this, Tai Chi master Xu Xiaoyang from Changzhou, China, a student of Master Tianjinlong, one of the top Tai Chi masters in China and the innovator of the “Three Swing” Tai Chi form, demonstrated Tai Chi techniques and provided close instruction to interested participants. Attendees practiced diligently and expressed interest in continuing their Tai Chi training over the long term.
