The Creation of Value-added Water Hyacinth for career development through the Community Participation of Bang Bua Thong Subdistrict

The research titled “Value Creation for Occupational Development from Water Hyacinth with Community Participation in Bang Bua Thong Subdistrict, Nonthaburi Province” was conducted as part of a project aimed at enhancing grassroots economies through strengthening community resilience to reduce inequalities in central Thailand. This study reviewed the current status of local occupations and explored ways to promote and develop livelihoods based on water hyacinth in Bang Bua Thong, with community participation leading to the development of production models, distribution systems, and group management. The objectives are as follows:

1.To study the occupational context related to adding value to water hyacinth.
2.To create integrated knowledge for occupations based on water hyacinth.
3.To increase community income through the development of water hyacinth-based products.
