To enhance students’ health awareness and provide knowledge on preventing common infectious diseases during the hot season, the Krirk University Chinese Students and Scholars Association, International College, and Center for Social and Academic Services, in collaboration with Vimut Hospital, jointly organized a health seminar entitled “Prevention of Hot-Season Infectious Diseases and Recommended Vaccinations for Students.” The seminar received active participation from a large number of students and staff members.
Notably, Vimut Hospital and Krirk University have previously signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Under this collaboration, Vimut Hospital aims to build a long-term partnership with the University by providing convenient, high-quality healthcare services for faculty, staff, and students. The partnership also offers tailored healthcare packages and exclusive rates for the Krirk University community, covering both outpatient and inpatient services, to further strengthen health support on campus.
The event was conducted in a hybrid format, combining an in-person seminar with a live online broadcast. This enabled more students and members of the public to participate and learn simultaneously through the online platform.
The seminar featured Dr. Phoonakh (นายแพทย์ ธรรศปริชณ์ ภู่นาค) from Vimut Hospital as its guest speaker. A graduate of Saint Petersburg Pavlov State Medical University in Russia, Dr. Phoonakh has extensive experience in clinical practice and infectious-disease prevention and control.
During the seminar, Dr. Phoonakh provided a systematic overview of the transmission routes, common symptoms, and preventive measures for infectious diseases prevalent during the hot season. He also highlighted the importance of vaccination for students and offered evidence-based recommendations. Through clear and accessible explanations, participants gained a more comprehensive understanding of disease prevention and health management.
This event not only enhanced students’ understanding of hot-season infectious-disease prevention and control, but also strengthened their health awareness and ability to protect themselves. Moving forward, Krirk University will continue to expand its collaboration with healthcare institutions and organize further health-promotion activities, creating a healthier and safer learning and living environment for its students and staff.
